Cindy’s Hope Chest – Helping Women Survive Breast Cancer

In the blink of an eye, my entire life was changed. August 2008, I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Being a wife of an active duty Soldier and raising three beautiful daughters, life went from being simple to uncertain. After successfully completing chemotherapy, double mastectomy, and radiation, my passion is to help others. I am a follower of God and a daughter, sister, wife, and mother and now I can proudly say a SURVIVOR!

Cindy and her team of volunteers enjoy making women as comfortable as possible during the treatment process necessary to fight breast cancer. Cindy’s vision is to assist and be there for as many women as she and her team can each and every day. Cindy does this locally and also makes women feel better and have hope all over the country. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation and discussing your fears and expectations to feel better. A basket filled with goodies that will help these women along the way is also encouraging. While Cindy went thru treatments, she had supporters that rooted her on along the way. Sometimes these supporters were total strangers. Cindy remembers these kind and generous people and wants to pay it forward to others in need. The treatments are difficult and hard on your body; Cindy remembers.
